In Ukraine, a network of ascribed hunting farms is widely developed. In the upcoming season, to enrich the hunting grounds, the Ukrainian Society of Hunters and Fishers envisages launching more than a thousand hare-birds in them, catching them in areas where there are a lot of these animals.

Catching grouse successfully carried out using a triple network.

The network consists of links of 20-30 meters each. The total length of the network must be at least one kilometer.

The mesh of the external link networks is made in the size of 15x15 or 20x20 centimeters; internal networks - 5x5 centimeters. The thickness of the wire for external networks - 2 and internal - 1.5 millimeters.

The height of the outer nets stretched over the rope is 1-1.2 meters, and the inner one is 1.0-1.8 meters. The links are fixed on stakes, spaced 4-5 meters apart.

External link networks stretch tightly. The internal network should hang freely, that is, so that its lower part (20 - 30 centimeters) lies on the ground: this way the animal is more easily tangled.

It is better to install the network in a semicircle to the corral, and the beaters diverge from the edges of the network, closing the circle. The depth of the pen may be, depending on terrain conditions and the number of beaters, from 1 to 3 kilometers.

When approaching the network, the distance between the beaters should be no more than 15-20 meters.

Inside the pen, at a distance of 10-20 meters from the links, catchers are located, hiding behind bushes or other shelters. Each catcher serves two network links. They chase hares slowly, without noise. When the hare, raised and directed by the beaters, approaches the net, the catcher scares him and tries to drive him into the net. Frightened by noise, a hare slips through a network with large meshes and gets entangled in a finely meshed one.

Carefully take out the hare caught in the net. With one hand they take him by the hind legs, and with the other, lifting him by the ears.

A hare taken out of the net is placed in a bag, and then transferred to a transport cage. In order not to cause any damage to the hare, the bag with it is placed in a basket that is worn on a rope over his shoulder.

When a hare is transplanted into a transport cage, a veterinarian examines them, determines the sex, rejects injured people, etc.

For transporting animals, transport cages are used - wooden boards. The dimensions of the box are 1.2x1.2 meters at a height of 30-35 centimeters. The box is divided into 6 sections, each of which fits one hare.

In the upper part (lid) of the drawer, the boards are beaten at intervals of 1-1.5 centimeters (for air circulation). One of the boards is beaten loosely and opened when feeding hares.

Animals are fed twice a day: at about 8 and 20-21 hours. Oats will be given in the morning, and hay in the evening. Litter is inedible hay. Instead of water, beets or cabbage sprayed with water are given in autumn, and pieces of ice or snow in winter.

For overexposure, transport cages with hares are placed under a canopy. In severe frosts they are covered with a layer of hay or straw. Do not stack boxes on top of each other to avoid contamination of the lower cells with liquid secretions.

Trapping is best done on frosty days, starting at dawn, to make as many corrals as possible per day.

Before release on hares it is necessary to put on labels with numbers of the established sample. lidl opening times
